The house of Yves Saint Laurent is pleased to announce that the talented British actress Emily Blunt is the new face and ambassador for their perfume, Opium.
Emily Blunt has become one of the most popular and respected actresses in our days. Her versatile talent, can been seen through a series of very different roles. Her memorable interpretation of Emily, the senior assistant as seen in the the award-winning comedy "The Devil Wears Prada". Equally impressive was the dramatic depiction of a new queen in the film "The Young Victoria�. Both appearances, won Golden Globe and were nominated for the BAFTA awards. Finally television gave her one of her best roles, playing Natasha in the series "Gideon's daughter", for which she won a Golden Globe for Supporting Actress.

Opium is an Oriental-spicy perfume created for fashion brand Yves Saint Laurent by perfumer Jean Amic and Jean-Louis Sieuzac of Roure, first marketed in 1977. Its top notes are a mixture of fruit and spices, with mandarin orange, plum, clove, coriander and pepper, as well as bay leaf. Its floral middle notes consist predominantly jasmine, rose and Lily of the Valley, in addition to carnation, cinnamon, peach and orris root. It is underlined by the sweet woody base note containing sandalwood, cedarwood, myrrh, opopanax, labdanum, benzoin and castoreum, in addition to amber, incense, musk, patchouli, tolu and vetiver. ~ Extract taken from wikipedia~
I am personally really excited for this, Emily Blunt is one of my favourite actresses, and Belle D' Opium is one of my favourite perfumes. So this one won't differ that much. I'm very eager to get this on my hands as soon as i can!
