World MasterCard Fashion Week Runway Review: Meredes Benz Presents DUY Fall/Winter 2013 RTW

World MasterCard Fashion Week may have come to an end, but the designs showcased last week will definitely be hot come the Fall! One of the best shows of the week? Mercedes Benz Presents DUY! This runway show was the designer's first solo show ever after he proved to be the star of the Mercedes Benz Start Up program last season. Over this past year DUY has received intense mentorship from the industry's biggest power players and has definitely proved that hard work pays off! His runway show at Toronto fashion week earned him a standing ovation!

Runway Review: Travis Taddeo Spring/ Summer 2013 RTW

New York Fashion Week Runway Review: Proenza Schouler Fall/ Winter 2013 RTW


Proenza Schouler's Fall/ Winter 2013 RTW collection was amazing and their runway show has the entire fashion industry buzzing. The truth is people love Proenza Shouler and not just because it is a line that consistently delivers amazing clothing season after season, but because the line represents dreams coming true and the notion that hard work really does pay off. Proenza Schouler was started in 2002 by New York City based designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCallough. The design duo originally corssed paths while they were students at Parsons School of Design and instantly began working together on their thesis collection. That first thesis collection became the pair's debut collection for Proenza Schouler which was bought by Barneys New York. Every. Single. Piece. Since the line took off with a massive bang in 2002 it has rocketed to greater heights and the line's Fall/ Winter 2013 collection was no exception.

Anna Sui's Fall/ Winter 2013 RTW collection was playful and fun with a cool indie twist. The collection featured great Fall fabrics including tweed and fur. New York Fashion Week Runway Review: Kate Spade Fall/ Winter 2013 RTW

Fabulous! Quirky! Whimsical! Chic! Perfectly perfect in every way! Kate Spade's Fall/ Winter 2013 presentation was amazing and the clothing in the latest collection was die to for. The collection had a strong 80s vibe with bright neons, big bows and Blondie blasting in the background. Models donned puffy waves and bold lipstick and audience members swooned at the sights of the gorgeous clothing emerging on the glossy runway. The garments in the collection were pure New York City with adorable bright yellow heels and clutches featuring a black and white checkerboard print and chunky lettering spelling the word "Taxi" (how NYC is that?). Of course there was also the classic Kate Spade candy twist as many of the garments featured sugary sweet prints and patterns and several pieces flaunted treats such as donuts, lollipops and sugar drops.
