MAC lipstick in Impassioned

Aloha!
The sun is out much more often these days, which makes me want to incorporate brighter colours to my make up! Corals, peaches, hot pinks and fuschias are on the highway!!! This time, I'm going to talk about one of the most gorgeous and unusual colours that I own: MAC's Impassioned lipstick!

 photo P3030773Customedited_zpse2215148.jpg

Impassioned is a very intense, ultra-pigmented, in-your-face, watermelon pink, with a fuchsia undertone. I cannot describe it quite well. It is not a true pink, and most definitelt not a true red. It is an in-between colour. It is neither warm nor cool-toned, so I believe all skintones can suit this. It goes really well with my super pale skin, but looks equally as beautiful on tanned skin.
It has an amplified finish, which I like even more than cremesheens! Vegas Volt is an amplified too, but I find Impassioned to be a bit more moisturising to my lips. Its staying power is truly amazing. Of course, if you're out for drinks and stuff it is eventually going to fade, but it will leave your lips with a lovely just-bitten/rasberry colour!

 photo macedited_zps444277a4.jpg

I would really recommend you to go and check this out, even though I think that it stands out on its own at MAC counters. It is simply beautiful worn either in winter or summer!!

Have you girls got this? Do you like it?

Oriflame More by Demy Make up palette

Hello gorgeous people!
Spring has finally arrived here, things are getting a little bit better, BUT, I'm still prone to spring allergies and stuff and right now I'm up with the worst sore throat ever! I hope you had a wonderful time at the Carnival/and what not, last week.

My mum purchased this make up palette from Demi Moore's collaboration with Oriflame, a couple of weeks back and honestly, I haven't stopped using it ever since!

 photo P3030647Customedited_zps92e91fab.jpg

First of, the packaging. It is quite sleek and feels very luxurious. The top is covered in metallic gold, while the bottom is crystal clear(plastic, it seems). When you open it up it's got a huge mirror which is so practical. It has four neutral, browny/bronzy eyeshadows, a blush and a cream highlighter. It's even got applicators for them, a lip brush, a blush brush and an eyeshashadow sponge brush. To be completely honest, I don't like using them. I never use the applicators that come with palettes anyway.

 photo P3030644Customedited_zps8c79d337.jpg

Now, the quality of the products is actually astonishing, I didn't really expect it to be that good. The colours blend so effortesly! The eyeshadows are beautiful and cover your basic, every day make up, but they can also be worn to look a bit more intense for an evening look. My favourites have to be the light shimmery one and the one on the top right!

Here comes the reason why I love this so much! The blush is a gorgeous rosy pink with lovely shimmer(not glitter!) running through it. It is the sort of colour that awakens your face and makes you look fresh and glowy! It can also look very chic and sophisticated for a night time look. I didn't really own anything quite similar, which is strange considering the fact that I have about a gazilion blushes which I don't really need. ^_^
The highlighter is a beautiful golden toned highlighter. It goes up smooth, and is not greasy at all. It gives the most amazing cheekbone highlight, even now that I'm super pale. I reckon this will look amazeballs during summer!

In all honesty though, there are a couple of cons to it. It is quite small for a palette. Too small. To the point where I dab my brushes with difficulty. And most importantly, it is ridiculously expensive. For Oriflame price standards anyway. I was quite in shock! It retails at about 30E. Thirty euro for a 7 gr palette? I didn't pay that much for it, my mum got it for about 15E.

I don't think it is worth the price, it is too small. I use it every single day, really but I wouldn't get it full price. If you manage to find it on discount, give it a try, 'cause it truly is a beautiful palette!

Have any of you girls tried this beauty? What do you think of it?

L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick in Impulsive Fuchsia

Hello ladies!
I hope you're having a wonderful week!
What do you think of my new header? It is slightly different from the precious one and guess what...I made it myself!

Every week or two, I find myself obsessing over a particular product,to the point where I reach for it multiple times a day if possible. Given that, I decided it was time to talk about one of my most used products recently. Loreal's Rouge Caresse lipstick in Impulsive Fuchsia that it!

 photo P3030693Customedited_zps45c7cb2e.jpg

The Rouge Caresse lipsticks are a relatively new addition to L'Oreal's make up range. They are described as moisturizing lipsticks and appear to be L'Oreal's answer to the much-anticipated Revlon Lip butters.
First of, Impulsive Fuchsia is a hot pink/fuchsia with a cool blue tone to it. The packaging is nice and looks way more expensive that it really is. It has a clear lid, while the other half is gold. It actually reminds me a lot of Dior's Addict Shine lipsticks.

 photo P3030767Customedited_zps09b98297.jpg

As far as texture goes, it is quite smooth and soft like a lip balm. I particularly like it, 'cause even people with dry, chapped lips can wear it without worrying a slight bit. The colour pay off is quite good for a lip balm-sort-of product, it is sheer but I find that it's quite buildable. You can go from relatively light to full on fucshia if you apply more layers. Also, the finish is shiny but not sticky at all, which makes you lips feel and look super moisturised. It most reminds me of Chanel's Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks. It has a mild, fruity scent and tastes ok.(weirdo)

 photo lorealedited_zps42767aa3.jpg
Still, there are a few cons I would like to mention.
The lasting power is not that great as it lasts me approximately an hour, before I have to reapply. But to be honest, don't expect miracles from a lip balm/lipstick product!I don't mind!
Its price is around 20 euros here, which I believe is a bit expensive for a highstreet/drugstore brand. I got mine in Bulgaria for only 10euro.
I suspect that the lighter colours in the range may appear a lot more sheer on pigmented lips.

Overall, L'oreal's Rouge Caresse lipsticks are such nice products to have, if you're looking for a more affordable version of the higher end brands' take! They are not THAT expensive, they are very comfortable to apply and their colour range is simply phenomenal. There's definitely something for every taste!

Have you girls tried any of these? What do you think? Which one is your personal favourite?

Review: Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Calypso Coral.

Hello everyone!
I thought today was the perfect time to talk about one of my favourite cream blushes at the moment!
Calypso Coral, that is!

Photobucket
Photobucket
Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Calypso Coral - 22

I've had this cream blusher for quite some time now, and was suprised that I never paid attention to it. During the colder months I always find myself reaching for cream products, just so I could have that healthy inner glow!

Calypso Coral is a vibrant coral with strong pink tones on my fair NW20 skin. It may not be the most natural, every day colour, but it certainly gives an awakening and refreshing effect. It is ideal for those days when you haven't slept enough, as it gives you an amazing pop of colour! I found it looked more coral on my lips(probably because my lips are not so pink) than my cheeks(which was pinkier). It also looks great when I'm tanner, although a bit more coraley, than pink!

It has a creamy formula, almost like a hardened cream and a dry powdery texture. Most people moan about the Pot Rouges, saying they're too hard to blend, but I find that it blends like a dream. What I do is I take my stippling brush and start blending is circular motions and then, if needed, I finish with my fingers. I have to mention though, as I usually suffer from dry and chapped lips, I moisturise and exfoliate really well before I apply it as it tends to be a bit drying on the lips.

The reason why I love this product is not so much the colour, but the staying power and the fact that it finishes smooth with zero stickiness! Mind you, I LOVE Stila's covertibles, MAC's cream blushes and so many others, but they always tend to be a bit sticky. You will not feel any kind of stickiness with these! They are superb! Also, I do have dry skin(surprise, surprise) especially on my face, so naturally, cream blushes tend to sit well on my skin. And last long, about 4-5 hours. But this is truly amazing. Add the fact that I tend to put my hands on my face a lot, this baby lasts for a solid 8 hours without even fading! Honestly, it's such a life saver as I put my make up in the morning to go to class and I want it to last all day 'till I go to my internship!

Overall, If you're looking for a long-lasting, not greasy cream blusher, then I'd recommend Bobbi Brown Pot Rouges. They do have a nice range of colours that will most likely suit any skin tone and any taste.

What do you think of the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouges? Have you tried any?

Bansko Haul!!!

First of all HAPPY CHRISTMAS girls!
I hope you're having a fantastic time!

I went to Bansko, Bulgaria with my friends for a couple of relaxing days and this is what I got!
Bulgaria is famous for producing roses, so anything rose-scented and/or with rose water is typically attracting tourists. The thing is, I HATE rose scents! Mind you, I like roses as in flowers but the scent of a rose in products makes me think of an old lady. I only managed to get one(or two) rose-scented products as you will see below!

I must say, I feel very pleased with myself as I did some seriously controlled shopping despite the prices being so cheap!

Photobucket

1)YOGHURT of Bulgaria Sensitive probiotic ultra mild facial wash gel - 4E
(I've used this a few times. So far I'm loving it, it's so good! Expect a review soon)

2)lema Natural Rose Water - 1,5E
(haven't used this yet, only got the small version 'cause I wanted to see what the fuss is all about. Smells strongly of rose..)

3)Narsya Beauty Body butter in Orchid and Cotton - 3,5E
(smells DIVINE! moisturises well.overall a bargain)

4)Rose and Vanilla lip balm - 0.90E
(It isn't even worth talking about it, thank god it was cheap(er than) as chips, it's got a very thin texture, does nothing, doesn't last long. I mean, HnM lip balms are better...imagine that.)

5)Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara in Black - 7E
(favourite drugstore mascara, found it lower than half the price)

6)Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze - 6E
(beautiful bronzy colour, found it half price)

7)L'Oreal Caresse lipstick in Impulsive Fuchsia - 10E
(I wanted to get this particular colour for quite some time, you can imagine how excited I was when I found it in half the price!)

8)Pure body soap in Cool water
(this was supposed to be a present, I was very absent-minded when I got it...I might be keeping this for myself...)

What do you beauties think of my not-so-impulsive haul?

My MAC Neutral Palette

Hello guys!

Photobucket

Today's *quick* post is to show you one of my most (if the THE most) used eyeshadow palette.
Of course I like to change things up and experiment with other brands' eyeshadows, but this one is what I reach for the most, pretty much all the time. I do have 3 other MAC palettes with browns, purples, corals etc. But if I could only have one of them, it would be this.
It took me quite some time (and cash)to accumulate all the eyeshadows, but they are definitely worth it.
I mostly have my bases, and highlighters in here, but you can catch a glimpse of Quarry as well(mainly use this on the crease)
Photobucket
What do you girls think of my palette? Do you have any of the eyeshadows? Let me know! Photobucket

SUMMER MUST HAVE: MAC PIGMENT IN MELON

Hello everyone!
I hope you're all doing alright! Due to personal problems and my finals which are beginning next week, blogging wasn't my top priority and I want to apologize for that!

So, rearranging my stash, I actually discovered some pretty amazing products which I seem to have forgotten over the past year. I couldn't help myself but post about this MAC pigment for you guys, just to express how much I'm currently in LOVE with it!

Photobucket

Melon pigment is described as a soft bright golden peach on MAC's website and I think that is the perfect description for it. When it hits the light it reflects into this gorgeous gold and then it contrasts into a lovely warm peach!
Depending on your skintone, I find that this may appear a bit different on your skin. Skins with pink undertones may bring out the peachy-ness, while skins with yellow undertones are more likely to bring out the golden side of it. Also, depending on how dark or fair your skintone is, it may alternate the appearance. In fairer skintones, it may look more peachy-orangey. I have NW20 skin and it applies true to its colour on the lid! On darker skintones the peachy tones may fade a little bit more. I have also noticed, that this has some detectable chunks of shimmer, compared to other MAC pigments, say Vanilla or Teal, but it doesn't look tacky, so I don't mind whatsoever.
Photobucket
Overall, I love using this on its own as a wash of colour, over other eyeshadows, as a base, heck when I'm tanned, even as a highlighter. It sure is a beautiful colour, and now that summer is here, I would highly recommend you girls to at least go to your nearest MAC store and check this out. It's well worth the try!

What do you think of the pigment? Have any of you tried it? I would love to know :)

April/May Favourites

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Hello beauties!

I know I'm awful at posting my monthly favourites on time, but to be honest I didn't really experiment that much during these two months. I seem to have found a beauty regime that really helps my skin and I plan on keeping it as my skin seems to love it :)

Photobucket
Let's start!

1) Avon Clear Skin blemish clearing 3 in 1 cleanser, scrub & mask
This is a product I've been using every 3 days and has helped me quite a lot in terms of the texture of my skin as well as making the overall appearance of my skin better, with less blemishes etc. I have dry skin with very dry patches on my cheeks and this is not very harsh and does the job very well. It is stingy and once you apply it literally feels like your skin's breathing!

Photobucket
2)Baylis & Harding MIYABI hand&body lotion in Cherry Blossom
It may be a lotion but it's got quite a thick consistency that absorbs really quick into the skin which I absolutely LOVE! It is fairly moisturising, plus, it's got the most amazing, fruity scent! Perfect for summer!

3)Bioten cellufight Exfoliating Shower Cream*
I know this is probably the 1000000th time that I say this but, I have very dry skin. Especially on my body. This helps me BIG time for my straw-like skin to feel clean and moisturised, as it completely removes any dead skin cells and harsh skin. A review is coming very soon.

3)Bioten skin repair antiwrinkle & firming night cream*
This is the perfect night cream for me. It is extremely moisturising and once I put it on at night, I wake up with baby soft and radiant skin. It is a bit greasy and takes some time to absorb, but who cares really, I'm just staying indoors!

Photobucket
4)Avon Solutions hydra radiance protecting liposome treatment
For daytime I usually switch my creams between this one and Garnier's Ultra lift. When my skins feel dull and needs a bit of extra moisture, I always reach for this. I wouldn't expect such results from a high-street day cream but it is very moisturising, although I have to wait for a good 10 minutes for it to sink in into the skin. It smells lovely and I highly recommended it to the girls who have dry skin out there! It's quite affordable too.

5)Garnier BB cream
Ok, I have tried. Really hard. I always try to use other foundations with full coverage, medium coverage, heck, I eve tried light coverage, but I always go back to this! Thank God I purchased lots of back-ups when this came out and now I'm fully stocked for summer. It is perfect, the right amount of coverage, the right amount of luminosity, plus, it provides moisture and SPF. Cannot rave about this enough! It's my HG product at the moment!

6)MAC Fix+
There are two ways that I use this. A)to set my make up, B)to refresh my skin. Whenever I use this to set my make-up, it holds everything in place and gives a lovely radiance all over my skin. This is my third bottle and I plan on repurchasing it again! So gutted I didn't get the rose one a couple of years ago ;)

7)Garnier Ultra Lift 2 in 1 Serum & Cream*
Like I said above, this is the moisturiser I choose when my skin feels normal. The combination of cream and serum provides the perfect solution to even out the texture of my skin. It feels a primer, and the foundation afterwards glides on to the skin! Smells lovely too!

Photobucket
8)MAC blush in Daft Pink(LE)
I know this is a bit unfair but, I have not stopped using this blush, day and night! It's such a gorgeous pink colour and it's got an amazing sheen! I can't remember which collection it was from, but I can remember it was a couple of years ago. Sadly I don't want to use it up because, like I said in this post, it is one of my favourite blushes by MAC, ever!

9)Stila Convertible Colour in Gerbera
I wish Stila wasn't descontinued in Greece. It was one of my favourite make-up brands! This one I absolutely love, it translates into a peachy-pink once applied on the cheeks and gives the most beautiful and natural glow! If you can find it anywhere,I highly recommend you purchase one of these! They're worth their money!

***Garnier and Bioten, have kindly sent me these products. I wasn't payed to feature them in any post and they didn't ask for a review. Heck the Ultra lift even came as a gift! :) ***

So, this is it ladies! Have you tried any of these? What do you think? Let me know in the comments section below!

Have a lovely week!

Current beauty wishlist.

Hello my beautiful readers! Today I thought I'd make a post about the products that I'm lusting over getting for a while now;)

Let's start!

Photobucket
* Images are not mine. I found all of them on Google. I made the collage though ;)*

1. Caudalie Beauty Elixir
Bloggers have been raving about this lately! The price puts me off a bit, as I'm not really into this 'beauty waters' type of thing. This one seems to be different though, enriched will all sorts of vitamins and healing properties for your skin! Besides, it's one of Victoria Beckhams' favourites too!

2. MAC lipstick in Morange
I have no idea why I don't have this in my collection yet. I've been wanting it since last summer, and being a MAC junkie, it seems weird ;). It's a beautiful tangerine colour that would look gorgeous during summer. I think it's probably going to be on my next BACK-2-MAC list!

3. Essie nail polish in Vermillionaire
All the beauty editors have been raving about this. Considering my obsession with all things orange/tangerine, this is a must have!

4. Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish hot cloth cleanser
Another product that's been raved about BIG TIME in the beauty blogsphere. I am literally dieing to try this out and I'm planning to do so as soon as possible.

5. Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Peach Whisper
I went into Beautyworks the other day to check this out as it's truly a beautiful peachy colour. The price is a bit high, but I'm thinking of splurging my money on it.

6. 7. Apivita Propoline Shampoo & Conditioner with Almond and Honey
My hair has been suffering from extreme dryness these past few weeks and I always rely on Apivita for situations like this. The price is not very high either so that's a bonus!

8. Bioderma Crealine H2O
As I'm sure you all know, this is a staple for every make up artist out there! As I'm trying to change up my skin care routine to something that suits my dry/sensitive skin more, I'm planning to have this as my make up remover before I use my cleanser! It's convenient that most pharmacies here have it too!

9. Essie nail polish in Navigate Her
I am in LOVE with this colour! It's so chic and spring-y. The perfect Pistachio Green that would make a lovely addition to my nail polish collection!

Have you girls tried any of these products? What do you think?

GARNIER BB Cream review

Photobucket

I was kindly sent by Garnier* their new BB cream which came out in Greece a couple of weeks ago and will only be available through December in Hondos Center.
I have to say I've been hearing a lot about BB creams in the beauty community, but unfortunately, no company had released BB creams in Greece up untill now so I was more than happy to try Garnier's newest product!

A BB cream which stands for Blemish Balm cream, is said to be a 5-in-1 product that:
1. evens skintone and boosts glow
2. blurs imperfections
3. smoothes fine lines
4. offers 24h hydration
5. has an SPF UV of 15

Now, I've been using this for pretty much two weeks and I believe I can share my opinion with you on it.
It comes in two shades, light and medium. Personally, light is the perfect match to my skintone, as medium is far too dark and I reckon would be perfect for summer.

First of all, it is much thicker than a tinted moisturiser, offers more coverage and leaves an amazing healthy glow. It blends out quite effortless. I love using it during the day as it's a light coverage product which is what I seek most days.

Photobucket

It claims to cover blemishes, I can see that it evens out my skintone perfectly but in the blemish department, all I know is that I had to cover up the odd huge spot with some concealer after.

The thing that surprised me the most was that after I had taken it off in the evening, my skin felt extremely moisturised and smooth. So it does offer some good hydration there, cause bare in mind that I have very dry skin during winter. I wouldn't really say it's ideal for people with oily skin 'cause it could look greasy on them after a few hours, but I suppose they can use powder to set it.

As for smoothing fine lines, to be honest I can't really say anything about it as I have none.

All in all, having Vitamin C and mineral pigments, being light coverage but still evening out my skintone and giving an amazing glow, this is a pretty good product to have, which falls in, between a light coverage foundation and a tinted moisturiser category, if you're in a hurry and can't be bothered to do your make up base for more than 3 minutes. BB creams are the new trend which came from Asia and now has taken all over Europe and I'm looking forward for more brands to be releasing them in the future.

Pros:
offers hydration
evens out skintone
healthy looking glow
spf 15
smells lovely (fruity scent)

Cons:
Doesn't entirely cover up blemishes
could potentially look greasy on oily skins, if not set with powder

RATING:
A

Garnier's BB cream is now exclusively available for a limited time, in all Hondos Center shops in Greece until the end of December and retails at 9.90 Euros.

*(PR samples sent by Garnier, this is not a sponsored post, it's my own opinion. My readers, their loyalty and trust come first.)
