Pop Stars Megan & Liz Share Fashion & Beauty Secrets

Megan and Liz arent your average twin sisters. The blonde and brunette BFFs have been active on YouTube since 2007, singing their hearts out on their channel Megan & Liz, but the 19-year-old up-and-coming pop stars have been singing for much longer. In fact, the sisters have been singing for so long, they didnt initially realize music was their calling. It felt so second nature to the girls, who say weve always grown up around music, so we never really saw ourselves doing anything else! If there had to be a moment, wed say it was probably the beginning of our senior year of high school when everyone else was applying to college, and we knew we wanted to give music a try before college. And the girls are so happy they did pause to work on their singing career.

Bansko Haul!!!

First of all HAPPY CHRISTMAS girls!
I hope you're having a fantastic time!

I went to Bansko, Bulgaria with my friends for a couple of relaxing days and this is what I got!
Bulgaria is famous for producing roses, so anything rose-scented and/or with rose water is typically attracting tourists. The thing is, I HATE rose scents! Mind you, I like roses as in flowers but the scent of a rose in products makes me think of an old lady. I only managed to get one(or two) rose-scented products as you will see below!

I must say, I feel very pleased with myself as I did some seriously controlled shopping despite the prices being so cheap!

Photobucket

1)YOGHURT of Bulgaria Sensitive probiotic ultra mild facial wash gel - 4E
(I've used this a few times. So far I'm loving it, it's so good! Expect a review soon)

2)lema Natural Rose Water - 1,5E
(haven't used this yet, only got the small version 'cause I wanted to see what the fuss is all about. Smells strongly of rose..)

3)Narsya Beauty Body butter in Orchid and Cotton - 3,5E
(smells DIVINE! moisturises well.overall a bargain)

4)Rose and Vanilla lip balm - 0.90E
(It isn't even worth talking about it, thank god it was cheap(er than) as chips, it's got a very thin texture, does nothing, doesn't last long. I mean, HnM lip balms are better...imagine that.)

5)Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara in Black - 7E
(favourite drugstore mascara, found it lower than half the price)

6)Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze - 6E
(beautiful bronzy colour, found it half price)

7)L'Oreal Caresse lipstick in Impulsive Fuchsia - 10E
(I wanted to get this particular colour for quite some time, you can imagine how excited I was when I found it in half the price!)

8)Pure body soap in Cool water
(this was supposed to be a present, I was very absent-minded when I got it...I might be keeping this for myself...)

What do you beauties think of my not-so-impulsive haul?

Makeup Artist Alexa Prisco Talks About Season 2 Of Glam Fairy

What do you get when you combine glitzy makeup, tons of drama and a super elite glam factor? The key concepts behind every college girls favorite TV show ...  "Glam Fairy!" For those who havent been following Season 2 of the highly popular reality TV show, the series follows the coveted life of New Jersey-based makeup artist Alexa Prisco as she manages life at work (she runs her own makeup company that beautifies everything from chic weddings to suave high fashion events) to her personal life (this season Alexa works on planning her wedding to her fianc Danny and manages the ups and downs of her first pregnancy!). Tune in Sunday nights at 9/8 C on the Style Network for amazing all-new episodes sure to have you laughing, screaming and completely enjoying yourself!

For the star of the show, Alexa Prisco, filming Season 2 of "Glam Fairy" was exciting, hectic and nerve-wracking: to be completely honest I had found out not even two months before filming that I was pregnant, so it was pretty scary knowing the level of dedication an entire production needed from me and also knowing my personal limitations, says Alexa.

Season 2 of "Glam Fairy" allows viewers to get to know the fairies in the factory even better, plus we are also given a glimpse of Alexas personal life through her wedding planning and baby bliss: my favorite part [of the season] is when I reveal that I am pregnant and the show sort of transitions into a place where you can see a side of myself that is rarely explored on the show -- the side that is not confident and more vulnerable. Overall, "Glam Fairy" Season 2 is highly entertaining and a lot of fun to watch!

Want to learn more about Alexa Priscos makeup tips and tricks and the inside details on "Glam Fairy" Season 2? Check out the interview we scored with the ultimate Glam Fairy herself...

Can you give our readers some tips on the best beauty products to wear for school?
AP: I think its important for young girls to remember that theyre young and to dress accordingly. Some of my favorite products for younger girls are tinted moisturizer, tinted lip balm, cheek stain and shadow sticks! If you are in your college years, I think its important to have a makeup routine that doesnt take up a lot of time! Bold, fun lipstick colors really show off whatever skin color you have, and by having a strong focal point on the lips, you can get away with just a little eye makeup and blush.

You have been lucky enough to turn your passion into a business. What are some entrepreneurial tips you can share with our readers?
AP: I think its important for people to do what they love, and I always say that the money will follow. I feel that everyone comes into this world with at least one thing they are naturally good at and love. Its just a matter of taking a risk and trying to cultivate that passion into something lucrative.

Season 2 of "Glam Fairy" shows that sometimes working in a business can be tough. What is the hardest part of running The Glam Factory?
AP: I would say the most difficult thing about running a business is trying to find the perfect balance between being someones friend and being their boss! Its makeup and hair, and employees are quicker to let their hair down so to speak ... people getting too comfortable too quick is a recipe for disaster.

Some of your fairies are easier to work with than others, but what does it really take to succeed as a Glam Fairy under your supervision?
AP: I think the most important attribute for success is humility. Dont tell me how great you are -- let your work and your performance speak for itself.

During Season 2 we see the ups and downs of working with your close friend Jon. What has been the hardest part of working with such a close friend?
AP: Working with any friend is tricky because they have an advantage that your employees dont -- they know your weaknesses. Jon knows how to make me feel bad for him!

The Glam Factory is a pretty busy place to be ... what are you doing when you are not working? AP: When I am not working I enjoy relaxing! I love preparing for this baby ... by making sure I have every little thing she could possibly need washed and ready to go! I love reading books and watching documentaries on the birth process and childcare (boring to some, but not to me!). Aside from that I spend all my free time with Danny! We are trying to soak in as much alone time as possible because in just two short weeks this duo will be a trio.

What has inspired you with your wedding plans (what kind of a wedding do you and Danny want)?
AP: If I had my dream wedding, it would be in a vineyard in upstate New York with incredible wine and great friends.

We are pretty excited that you are pregnant with a baby girl (congratulations!). How are you feeling about starting a family?
AP: I am so excited to be a family, and I feel truly blessed to have such a healthy baby in my belly! I truly feel that this baby was made out of the deepest love I have ever felt in my life, and I hope that my daughter feels every day just how loved she is!

Have you decided on any names for your daughter? Can you share some of them with us?
AP: Our daughters name is McKayla Olivia Ziegler!

Where do you see yourself in five years?
AP: I see myself with my best friend Danny! I see us in a great house! I see my career sort of a machine that takes care of itself, not requiring my attention as much, allowing me to be the mother and wife I want to be. I see myself with two or three kids! Just enjoying and soaking in all the great moments having a family will give you.

All in all, Season 2 of "Glam Fairy" has been amazing, and we definitely hope Season 3 is in the works! Will you be tuning in to watch the next episode of "Glam Fairy" on the Style Network? Leave a comment below to let us know your favorite part of this season.

This Week I've Been Wearing...#1

Greetings beautiful people!

Photobucket[MAC Strobe Cream, BIOTEN Cleansing Gel, MAC blush in Daft Pink(LE), Essie nail varnish in Berry Hard, Rimmel lipstick by Kate Moss in 16, Estee Lauder High Gloss in 11 Blush, MAC e/s palette in Smoke & Mirrors(LE)]

Firstly, I want to apologize for being absent from blogger these past few weeks. Personal problems have come in the way, add uni too, so I was struggling a bit. Thank God things are getting much better now and I feel much happier and healthier, so blogging is on full swing!

I was reading one of my favourite blogs, ghostparties when I saw this cool feature called "This week I've been wearing" and liked it so much, I stole the idea :)

This week I've been trying the new cleanser by Bioten and I've been pleased, thus far. I absolutely loved the make up wipes from the Quince range(hence why I bought 4 packs of them) and this product is no different! It's refreshing, smells AMAZING and leaves my face sqeaky clean. It also leaves a tingly feeling afterwards but I don't mind, whatsoever.

MAC's Strobe cream has once again come out in the spotlight! This product has got to be one of my favourite hightlighters, if not THE favourite! Its shimmer is so subtle, yet catches the light so beautifully...a MUST-HAVE! I mostly mix this with my foundation as it leaves a healthy, fresh and glowy effect. I'm soon running out of this so I guess I'm stocking up on Christmas?

As you may have noticed by now I much prefer lipsticks to lipglosses but this week, I've rediscovered my love for Estee Lauder's High Gloss in 11 Blush. It's such a 'chic' colour, almost like a bronzy rosy pink(look what I came up with ^_^). It's fairly pigmented but not too much, which makes it perfect for daytime!

Now, lipstick wise(of course), I recently got Rimmel by Kate Moss' lipstick in 16 and I WISH I'd gotten it sooner! It's such a pretty yellow pinky coral, I'm seriously in love. It's very smooth and hydrating for a lipstick and you can lightly dab it on your lips for daytime wear or apply it full on for a night look! Now I'm looking forward to being a bit more tanned, as I think this baby will look even MORE gorgeous!

There's one thing I was a bit hesitant to use this week, even though I used it pretty much everyday, and that's because I don't want to run out, is possible my all time favourite blush. Ever. AND it's limited edition. I'm talking about MAC's blush in Daft Pink of course. It was released a few years ago and have loved it ever since. It's simply beautiful. It's got the kind of shimmer I like and gives the most beautiful glow(if you don't like shimmer, this is a big no-no). The pigmentation for me is great as well, because it does have pay off, but you can work it into your skin as much as you like. The thing I loathe about some blushes, is when they don't give ANY colour or when they're too pigmented and you are scared you're gonna mess up in case you've put too much on your brush. But this...this is perfect. I'm seriously in love. <3

As far as nails go, I went on full autumn mode this week and painted my nails with Essie's Berry Hard. It is a beautiful, rich berry colour that goes pretty much with every piece of clothing I own(EVEN gym clothes). It definitely suits the atmosphere due to the chilly days we've had here this week.

Why, of course, another MAC product! But seriously, I didn't realise how truly beautiful this palette(in Smoke & Mirrors) was up until now. I'm going to make a review soon, showing you all close-ups and stuff but for now limit yourselves to this picture, pretty please :) It's got beautiful neutral shades from highlighters to metallics to dark browns and it's definitely a product I'll be reaching for more often, this winter.

So this is it for thise week's products girls!
What do you think? Have you tried any of these? Let me know!

My MAC Neutral Palette

Hello guys!

Photobucket

Today's *quick* post is to show you one of my most (if the THE most) used eyeshadow palette.
Of course I like to change things up and experiment with other brands' eyeshadows, but this one is what I reach for the most, pretty much all the time. I do have 3 other MAC palettes with browns, purples, corals etc. But if I could only have one of them, it would be this.
It took me quite some time (and cash)to accumulate all the eyeshadows, but they are definitely worth it.
I mostly have my bases, and highlighters in here, but you can catch a glimpse of Quarry as well(mainly use this on the crease)
Photobucket
What do you girls think of my palette? Do you have any of the eyeshadows? Let me know! Photobucket

Anastasia After Tweeze Cream

Hello gorgeous people!

Photobucket
Photobucket
I'm not usually the one to go and purchase tweeze creams, I've tried a couple in the past but I wasn't really left with good impressions so I didn't bother to look into it any more.
But whilst I was browsing the offer section at my local Sephora I stumbled across this and, 'cause I've heard some good words about Anastasia in the past, I thought I'd give it a go.

It's basically a cream with a green tint, that you put on the areas you've tweezed, that are red, dry and sore and it helps soothe and refresh the skin.
I did make the mistake of putting a regular moisturising cream in the past and let me tell you, it burns like hell! This one on the contrary, feels soothing and cooling due to the restorative chamomile extracts that help to moisturise and calm the skin. The green tint also helps in concealing the redness. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave any greasy residue whatsoever.

I've been really satisfied with this cream and after my first attempt to thread my eyebrows on my own(aaaand it went good), I was left with red, irritated patches and this little fellow actually helped, A LOT.
The only negative I can find to it, is its price tag at around 20$. I surely didn't pay that much, I think it was around 8-10E but to me its worth every single penny. You only need the tiniest bit to apply and it will last you for a long time. So, next time you're in Sephora, give this a try.

Have you guys tried this? Or any other Anastasia products? What do you think?

Fresh Line Body Soap in Melon Mint

Hello guys! Hope you're spending your summer holidays having fun!
Today's blog post is about one of my favourite body products to use during summer and that is the Melon Mint Soap by Fresh Line.

Photobucket
I first visited Fresh Line about a couple of years ago, while being on an impulse shopping trip with my friends and I decided to try some of their products including their hydrotherapy balls(which I plan on talking about in another post), lotions and this soap.

Now, I am not a fan of solid body soaps. I prefer shower gels or creams. I always feel like they dry out my skin. But I couldn't resist this one, its scent was overwhelming(in a good way).

This is my fourth big slice of it as of yet(I take it into slices) and cannot say how much I'm in love with it! I take it and then slice it even more (about 4-5 slices) and this lasts me for a whole of 3 months. I've been using it religiously this summer. It's scent is pure melon. There's no other way to describe it. It's like you squeezed melon juice and then solidified it into this soap. It's very refreshing, calming and cleanses quite well. The chunks I take are not that expensive either. (about 3-5 Euro)

If you have a Fresh Line store near you, you should definitely give this a try. I get mine from the Fresh Line stand alone store near where I live but you can also find Freshline counters in Public or in the Cosmos Mall( in Thessaloniki).

I'm very happy that I've ventured into this whole Fresh Line experience because their products are organic, smell amazing and are quite reasonably priced. Add the fact that we don't have Lush in Greece(YET!), which is pretty much similar in terms of philosophy minus the extremely cute appearance of their products, with Fresh Line and that it's a Greek brand and I'm good to go!
Seriously give this a try, it's worth it!
Have you tried this or any other Fresh Line products? What is your favourite?

Bioten Cellufight Range Review

Hello ladies! Hope you're doing alright!
Now that I've hit the beach and aquired myself a lovely(natural and WITHOUT to burn) tan I'm in full blog mode and thought it was about time that I talked about Bioten's Cellufight* range products!

Photobucket
I've been using them for a few months now and can fully review them especially now that I can notice some kind of difference to the appearance of my skin!
The Cellufight range comes in a Massage Cream, a Drainage Gel, an exfoliating shower cream and an anti-cellulight massage oil. The lovely people sent me everything except for the massage oil but I couldn't complain whatsoever!
Me being a girl who likes her curves, I am suffering from a bit of cellulight on my thighs so I had to make my preparations before I showed myself to the beach!

Before I move on to the actual products review, let me remind you that NO product, pharmaceautical or not, cream, oil nor pill will make your cellulight disappear! Cellulight is pure genetics and you can only reduce, I repeat reduce it, but having a healthy diet and work out regime. Nevertheless, you can fool people and make the appearance of it look less intense.

Massage Cream
This is my favourite product to use during the colder months. First things first, this stuff is so, incredibly moisturising! My extremely dry skin (seriously, how many times am I going to say this?) totally loves it! Its texture is quite rich and thick and takes some time to absorb into the skin. It contains Guarava, Marine Algae and Black Pepper and this wonderful mix of anti-cellulight ingredients will reduce the orange peel aspect, increase the firmness of the skin and stimulate the micro-circulation. Also, the Black Pepper in it will make your skin feel warm and red, but don't panic! It's only a sign that it's working!Retails at 8,95.

Drainage Gel
This light, pink gel is ideal for summer. It absorbs fairly quick. But this for me has to to be the most painful product to use out of the three. It contains the same ingredients as the massage cream but somehow this is stronger on my skin, making it super red and itchy! Of course, after some time of using it my skin has come to terms with it and does not feel so itchy like it did before. The gel helps reduce the water excess and allows to eliminate the toxins, in the same time visibly reducing the cellulite.Retails at 8,95.

Exfoliating shower cream
My favourite product out of the three! This baby contains Guarava, crushed olive stones and Vitamin E and will exfoliate your skin like nothing else! It makes your skin silky smooth and I'm glad the beads in it are chunky because they completely remove the dead skin cells of my body making it brighter and smoother. The Guarava in it also helps improve the micro-circulation. I'm almost running out of this and I'm definitely repurchasing! If you want to try anything from this range and don't know where to start, GET THIS!Retails at 6,95.

I couldn't find a better way to describe it but all of the products smell like you're being treated in a spa. This is probably because of the marine algae and the black pepper in them but after I've used them I feel like I've given myself a real treat!!!
ALSO, all three of the products contain no parabens. Thumbs up!

Massage Cream Rating: A-
Drainage Gel Rating: B
Exfoliating Shower Cream rating: A+

All in all, if you use these products religiously, you will most likely see a big improvement in the apperance of your skin. I absolutely LOVE using them, especially now that it's summer and I go to the beach and they surely boost my confidence! The order in which I use them is, in the morning I apply the drainage gel, before I go to bed I use the massage cream and every 2 days I use the exfoliating shower cream! And it works!

I'm becoming boring but for the last time, these products(nor any other products) will NOT make the cellulight disappear! They will reduce the appearance of it!

***Bioten(surprised me and) sent me these products. I am not being paid or sponsored to make this post. The lovely people didn't even ask for a review. I just thought they are such nice products that you guys would love to read about. My readers' loyalty comes first!***
